Treetops Kitty Cafe & Animal Rescue Awarded $5,000 Grant Through Masco Cares Volunteer Award Program
Board Vice President Adam Peterson Named Q1 2026 Winner, Directing Corporate Grant to Support Cat Rescue Mission in Kennett Square
KENNETT SQUARE, PA — April 20, 2026 — Treetops Kitty Cafe & Animal Rescue is proud to announce it has been awarded a $5,000 grant through the Masco Cares Volunteer Award Program, recognizing the outstanding community contributions of Adam Peterson, Board Vice President of Treetops and employee of Watkins Wellness, a Masco business unit.
Peterson was named the Q1 2026 Masco Cares Volunteer Award winner in recognition of his deep and sustained commitment to Treetops. Beginning as a volunteer, he went on to join the Board of Directors and now serves as Board Vice President, where he has played a pivotal role in shaping organizational strategy. He also spearheaded the creation of Treetops’ first Marketing & Communications committee, expanding the organization’s visibility and community reach.
The $5,000 grant, awarded in Peterson’s name, will directly support Treetops’ mission of rescuing at-risk cats from high-kill shelters, providing essential care and medical attention, and re-socializing cats at the Kennett Square café before placing them in permanent, loving homes. Since 2017, Treetops has successfully facilitated nearly 950 cat adoptions.

The Masco Cares Volunteer Award Program honors employees across Masco’s business units who go above and beyond in service to their communities, directing corporate grants to the nonprofits they champion.
